Bishop Wack and the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee will join Pope Francis in consecrating Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Friday, March 25 at 11 a.m. CT at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Pensacola.
This past weekend Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida acted quickly to provide supplies and volunteers for 80 individuals who were evacuated due to the wildfires in the Bay County area. Catholic Charities is seeking funding from CCUSA, as well as donations to provide temporary shelter and necessities for those affected by the fires.
“I am saddened and distressed by the news of war in Ukraine, and I ask all of the faithful of the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee to join me in praying for a swift and peaceful resolution. May God watch over and protect our brothers and sisters in Ukraine and Russia, and may the Holy Spirit inspire us to bring an end to all violence, which is an egregious offense against the sanctity of life.”
Bishop William A. Wack, CSC, will dedicate the renovated Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More, located at 900 W. Tennessee St., Tallahassee, after a seven-month, estimated $1.8-million renovation process on Jan. 19, 2022, at 6 p.m. ET. The faithful throughout the Tallahassee community plan to attend the Mass.
